Should We Exercise A Lot and Continuously?

We can exercise in increments during the day; it is not necessary to do everything in one go.

Whenever you have some time during the day, you can do some exercises.

5 things to keep in mind when you exercise:

1. Work out the entire body (including your head, face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, waist, abdomen, knees, legs, feet, etc.).

2. Do not exercise too much and too intensely, that way you can avoid straining the heart, lungs, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles excessively (also when the heart and lungs are exhausted from working too hard, other internal organs are affected and become exhausted as well).

3. After a full meal, it’s best not to exercise right away. Give your stomach time to do its work properly. Wait at least about half an hour before exercising. Because each body is different, listen well to your own.

4. For any exercise movement: Start out slow and gradually increase the speed; start out gently and gradually increase the intensity.

5. An exercise program should be appropriate, consistent, and adequate.

Appropriate exercises are those that are suitable for one’s age, body, and physical condition.

Consistency refers to the commitment to exercise every day, not to miss any day unless you’re ill.

Adequate means exercising for different parts of your body, not too little, not too much, and never to the point of exhaustion. If you miss a day, do not double up on your daily exercise since that won’t be beneficial to your health.

Excercising: On a Full or Empty Stomach?

Some of you were wondering if exercising should be done when we're full of energy after eating, or when we're a bit on the hungry side.

If you wish to lose some weight, you’d want to exercise on an empty stomach so that the body has a chance to burn calories from excess fat. Be sure to drink water if you exercise in the morning; after a night of sleep, it's necessary to replenish water for the entire body.

If you feel rather sluggish while exercising on an empty stomach, you may want to consume some light snack to supply energy to the body, especially the brain. That way you can have the strength to focus on exercising properly, consistently, and sufficiently!

On the other hand, for those who need to gain weight and wish to build lean muscles, it’d be good to consume a small amount of food rich in protein and nutrients prior to working out for better results.

I wish you much joy and diligence in exercising every day for your own health and happiness, as well as that of your loved ones.
